Special Three-Week Physical Theatre Workshop designed as for directors and choreographers, as well as actors, dancers, contemporary circus performers, musical theatre performers and performance artists, interested in advancing their professional skills in directing, ensemble building, composition understanding, as well as enhancing professional tools such as body, voice and mind through daily creative practice. 


 The training intentionally is designed as an intensive lab with the participation of practitioners from different field of arts and from various countries. Multidisciplinarity and multiculturality are one of the most important principles of our programs. Working alongside colleagues from different countries and cultures is an excellent opportunity to find innovative, new, multidimensional approaches to rehearsals and performances.


Participants will be able to get training based on Ostrenko Brothers Method, which was formed on the basis of a Russian theatre school and influenced by traditional European and Asian practices in performing arts. 

The workshop is a great opportunity to approach unique methodological and practical material that will enrich your professional skills and will offer you the possibility to share an intense creative experience at a global level!

The working language is Russian and English. 

Ostrenko Brothers method offers the tools and support necessary for students to reach their full potential in performing and directing. 


-  The program aims to explore performer's physicality, step beyond the limits of text-based acting by the means of V. Meyerhold’s “Biomechanics”, K. Stanislavski's “Physical Action”, M. Chekhov’s “Psychological Gesture” and elements from other techniques. 


-  Students will have a chance to learn the skills needed for professional movement director and teacher, research how movement practice is taught and how to actors and performers best integrate movement processes.


- Students will have the opportunity to get training and experience in the Ostrenko Brothers approach to rehearsals and at the end of the course, show the result. 

SERGEI OSTRENKO

Sergei Ostrenko has over 30 years of professional experience as a Director, Choreographer and Performance Teacher.

 

Sergei has directed over 40 theatre productions, producing international projects for both the professional stage and for education in numerous countries, including Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Russia, Slovenia, Sweden, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.

CERTIFICATE

Students can receive the

Certificate of Participation in this intensive training. 

 

Evidence that you are serious about your education and professional development.

The certificate is provided after student's participation in the training and submitting the report/essay of their experience at the program (1500 words).

June 7:

From 13:00 - Group arrival and check-in.
16:50-17:00 - Program Coordinator meets the group.
17:00-18:00 - First group meeting and introduction.

June 8-26:

7:00-8:00 - Warm-Up. 
8:00-10:30 - Break.
10:30-13:00 - Practical training.
13:00-15:00 - Break.
15:00-18:00 - Practical training.
18:00-19:30 - Dinner break. 
19:30-21:00 - Creative Time.

June 27:

7:00-8:00 - Warm-Up.
8:00-10:30 - Breakfast.
10:30-13:00 - Practical training.
13:00-15:00 - Lunch break. 
15:00-17:00 - Practical training.
18:00 - Final Evening.

June 28: 

7:30-9:00 - Breakfast
9:00 - Check-out and departure.

For breakfasts, lunches and dinners participants can visit the local cafes and restaurants or get products in local groceries stores. 

The organizers reserve the right to make changes and add-ins to the schedule.
