THEATRICAL BIOMECHANICS
4-Day International Multidisciplinary Workshop
8-11 January 2024
Berlin - Germany
The international program is designed for performers, directors, choreographers, and performing arts practitioners who are interested in the practical investigation of theatre biomechanics and physical theatre. The focus of the training: What makes performance interesting? How can we be more engaging on stage?
Early Bird Fee: 150 EUR
(until September 22, 2023)
After: 200 EUR
What to do when you have zero inspiration? How to tell a story in a more interesting way? How does a performer enter a stage? How does a performer grab/take focus? How does a performer warm up their body from head to toe?
Welcome to our upcoming workshop dedicated to enriching your performance vocabulary and reinforcing your understanding of familiar performance concepts through theatrical biomechanics. This immersive experience will not only introduce you to new terminology but also empower you with innovative techniques for rehearsing and engaging in creative play. Our ultimate goal is to provide you with practical tools for working on stage and fostering seamless communication among performers, choreographers, and directors.
The program is designed for actors of physical theatre, dancers, contemporary circus performers, choreographers, and directors – performing arts practitioners with professional stage experience working in various genres, techniques, and styles who are interested in finding new international networking opportunities and collaborators.
